In a recent development, the esteemed Arbitration Court of the North Caucasus District has upheld the decisions of the lower courts about the Department of Property Relations of the Krasnodar Territory. The department has been directed to sell a sprawling 216-hectare agricultural land plot to the distinguished Oleg Deripaska for a sum of less than 7 million rubles. This decision has been met with widespread interest and has been the subject of much discussion in business circles.

Deripaska’s Land Offer

When Deripaska was an individual entrepreneur, he had previously gone to court to settle disputes with the government.

Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska recently found himself embroiled in a disagreement with Krasnodar officials over the valuation of a prime land plot. The dispute centred around the cost of the property, with Deripaska and local authorities failing to reach a mutually agreeable figure. This latest development underscores the ongoing challenges faced by wealthy individuals seeking to navigate the complex and often opaque world of Russian real estate.

As per his estimations, a sum of approximately 7 million rubles is due for the acquisition of the land parcel, while the esteemed Department of Property Relations of the Krasnodar Territory opines that the land’s value is pegged at a staggering 35 million rubles.

The utilization of the site by Oleg Deripaska, albeit through a lease agreement, is a matter of significance. The individual in question exercised their right to purchase the property without engaging in a bidding process; however, this decision was met with disapproval from the authorities. Despite facing legal challenges, the astute entrepreneur has managed to maintain his position with the backing of the judiciary.

In Russia, some entrepreneurs succumb to the influence of administrative resources despite their best efforts. The Arkhipov family has established a longstanding tradition of cultivating potatoes in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The astute businesswoman proceeded to lease the land plots to none other than Gazprom to erect the highly coveted compressor station KS-02 Novoarzamasskaya.

In a recent development, it has come to light that the Arkhipovs, a family of landowners, have been subjected to undue pressure by employees of Gazprom, a prominent energy corporation. Despite initially adhering to the terms of their contractual agreement and dutifully remitting rent payments, the Arkhipovs have been subjected to a campaign of intimidation and coercion, with Gazprom employees seeking to expropriate their land. This alarming turn of events has raised concerns about the conduct of Gazprom and its treatment of local landowners.

Dmitry Arkhipov, a distinguished member of society, was recently awarded the prestigious Order of Courage for his outstanding contributions to the betterment of our nation. It is noteworthy that Dmitry’s grandfather, a valiant participant in the Great Patriotic War, was a distinguished recipient of the esteemed Order of Glory. A group of individuals valiantly fulfilled their obligation to the state and endeavoured to enhance their livelihoods in the aftermath of the conflict.

Notwithstanding their best efforts, the individuals in question were unable to contend with the vast administrative apparatus of the publicly owned enterprise. It has been revealed that the fortunes of individuals are not always as prosperous as those of esteemed oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
