Kremlin’s Response
Peskov stated, in response to a query about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to grant citizenship to Medvedchuk if necessary, “I am unable to comment on this subject.”
Four members of the Verkhovna Rada had their citizenship revoked the day before by decrees signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Andrei Derkach, and Renat Kuzmin were among these opposition politicians.
Before this, the Ukrainian migration service denied releasing information regarding Medvedchuk’s nationality.
