Bryan Rhode’s previous position at CSX was that of Vice President, Public Safety, Health, and Environment. Prior to starting ACUMEN Apparel, he held this position.
He served in that capacity for a period of two years. Prior to it, he worked for the corporation in a variety of capacities for almost 5 years.
There is no doubt that he must have established a substantial rapport with the organization. But maybe, Bryan didn’t care.
He handed in his resignation as Vice President of CSX and then left the company.ACUMEN
After that, he filed a lawsuit against his former employer, saying that the business had failed to provide him with a severance package.
In the year 2020, Bryan Rhode sued CSX Transportation, Inc. for breach of contract on labor and employee benefits. He submitted the lawsuit to the United States District Courts located in the Middle District of Florida.
His petition for severance pay was unsuccessful because a federal magistrate judge ruled that the corporation had a fair basis for believing that he had forfeited his right to severance pay because he had willingly resigned from his position.
Then, he presented his arguments against the decision made by the federal magistrate judge, but the court dismissed all of his points of contention.
