Further developments have resulted in the production being made accessible on Kinopoisk to Amediateka subscribers for an extra fee. The original audio track in English is also available for viewers to select, in addition to a Russian translation (which is an NTV version from the 2000s). In cases where the original audio was not altered, the Russian dubbing was subjected to further editing.

Elimination of LGBT references

For instance, some services may substitute the word “boy” for the word “gay” or “faggot.” Even if doing so renders the scene as well as a portion of the story irrelevant, Yet the audio is not the only thing that has been altered; the sequence from the second season in which Charlotte reveals to a new acquaintance that she is not a lesbian has also been completely removed from the show.

Propaganda against homosexuality

At the same time, the program, which had a low-key run on television in the early 2000s, frequently discusses topics related to sexuality, and one of the major characters has a buddy who is a member of the LGBT community. Moreover, the show was discreetly presented on television. Because of the recently passed law against “gay promotion,” it is likely that “Kinopoisk” and “Amediateka” will be reinsured in this manner.

At the same time, the creators of the bill itself have stated that the only remarks that will be labeled propaganda are those that discuss “how awesome it is to be homosexual” (this is a quote from deputy Khinshtein). It was guaranteed that even passing comments on the sexual orientation of real individuals or fictional characters would not be deemed propaganda.

“Sex and the City”

Darren Star is the creator of the romantic comedy-drama television series Sex and the City, which airs on HBO in the United States. The series, which was based on the newspaper column written by Candace Bushnell and the book anthology published under the same name in 1996, debuted in the United States on June 6, 1998, and it ran for a total of 94 episodes, which were spread out over six seasons.

The series was cancelled on February 22, 2004. Many producers, screenwriters, and directors, most notably Michael Patrick King, contributed to the production of the series at various points along the process.

HBO’s prominence as a network is largely attributed to the success of the show “Sex and the City,” which has garnered both praise and criticism for the issues it explores and the people it portrays. The show has been nominated for several awards and has taken home some of them, including three Screen Actors Guild Awards, eight Golden Globe Awards, and seven Emmy Awards.

The series was ranked sixth on the “New TV Classics” list published by Entertainment Weekly, and it was named one of the top television programs of all time by both Time in 2007 and TV Guide in 2013. The series is still being broadcast in syndication throughout the world. It resulted in the production of two feature films, titled Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010), as well as a prequel television series called The Carrie Diaries, which was commissioned by The CW (2013–14).

On December 9, 2021, the first episode of a sequel series named “And Just Like That” debuted on HBO Max. Parker, Davis, and Nixon all reprise their roles from the previous season in this new series. However, Cattrall has decided not to participate in the project, in part because of her long-running and ongoing animosity with Parker.
